COURSE INTRODUCTION
The “Household Food Security Outcome Indicators” training course is designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of food security indicators and their significance in assessing household food security. The course begins with an introduction to the concept of food security, emphasizing its importance and providing an overview of the Food and Nutrition Security Conceptual Framework. Participants will learn to calculate and interpret key indicators, including the Food Consumption Score (FCS), Reduced Coping Strategy Index (RCSI), and Household Hunger Scale (HHS), alongside Dietary Diversity (DD). Through practical exercises and case studies, the training will enhance participants’ skills in applying these indicators, enabling them to effectively analyze food security situations and make informed decisions in their respective roles.
